win.ini question

After having had a virus which came through using MS VM it seems I have to alter the win.ini file.

It seems the virus put an entry

RUN=C:\WINDOWS\svcpack.exe

which by all accounts needs deleting. Is there anything I should look to do or look out for before I delete the entry.

Cheers

You could try this first alter the line to look like this

REM RUN=C:\WINDOWS\svcpack.exe if it stops it you can delete the line

PS you will have to reboot to try it out

It's normal to have a Run= entry in win.ini. Just delete the bit after the = sign.
