When browsing the web something keeps trying to connect the computer to the Winfixer website. Is this a virus or what?
If so how do I get rid of it?

Thanks

Winfixer is a piece of crap and it appears in
pop-ups everywhere.

I've blocked it several times but every now and again it comes back. It's not dangerous as far as I know,
just a pain in the butt. BTW Nellie2's "Adaware
Killer" looks like another such piece of junk -
don't click on it.

Personally I think anything Nellie2 says is gospel when pertaining to computers!

Obviously you're new to this forum, perhaps you should be aware Nellie2 is a long time anti-malware expert and a much trusted poster on this forum, and unlikely to link to a "piece of junk"
