I have windows xp and when I start up the computer I get a pop-up which tells me that updates are ready for downloading.
I have downloaded them and restarted the computer but when I start up the pop-ups keep appearing.
some time ago I installed the PcAdvisor XP2 disk but found it unsatifactory so I restored the system to its previous setting and since then all has been well except for the popups mentioned. Because they were persistent I decided to load the updates but, as stated, I still get the popup.any suggestions for getting rid of the popup
