Windows XP Update Rollup Service Release

  Taran 18:26 22 Oct 03

I'm not sure if this has been covered before in here, but those of us who run Windows XP this could be useful.

If you already have Service Release 1 installed you can download a 9mb file click here from Microsoft which unpacks to some 50 odd megs of every critical update released between Service Release 1 and September 10th of this year.

It means that even narrowband dial up users of Windows XP can stay up to date without having to grab the downloads individually.

I've just grabbed it and applied it to a new machine I'm setting up and it worked beautifully.

Hope this helps.

Regards all

It has been covered.

ME still wondering how 9MB of 50MB of updates can happen.
