Windows XP system restore does not work -why?

  Heraclius 23:53 06 Dec 06

I cannot restore my system to a previous restore point. The restore switch is set on and I cannot see why. Norton does not seem to be affecting it.
When I try to restore, it appears to go through the restore process but on rebooting , I am told that it has not worked.

Any ideas?

Go into System Restore Settings and disable it (tick the box turn off SR) reboot your computer and the go back into the settings and turn it back on. You will lose all previous restore points, but it should make a new Check point immediately
