Windows XP Startup

When I startup Windows XP and click on my account (or another administrator) I do not get the desktop icons or start menu. Background is there though. My daughter has a limited user account and has access to hers as does my son who has the same?

Any ideas

Hi, Right click on your task bar, Click properties, click on start up menu tab, click on advanced and make sure that the 'Dont show this item' radio button is clear. Cheers, Bill

Ctrl+Alt+Del once.

This gets you task manager. Select File in DD menu and select New Task. Browse for the Restore Folder in System32 Folder. Within that select the Restore option (.exe file) and do a restore to the previous day (point).

Hey presto. All appears fine and dandy!!
