Hi, I am trying to mend a tiny pc running on windows xp. It won't start up every time it gets to windows xp screen it goes round in a loop. I have the back - up disc but when i insert this it says cannot identify pc, wrong boot up disc for this pc.

any ideas how I can get the pc running again.

This is a possible cause click here but I don't think you will be able to follow the procedure if you only have a rescue disk.

Thanks I already had this. Will any windows xp disc work or are they unique to each pc. Also are there any good bits of software that can fix the problem i.e registry builder or PE builder

I think that any XP disk would work.
