Windows XP sp2: Turning on/off user account?

Is there any way that you can switch a user account on and off the same as you can a guest account? If not - is there anyway that you can copy the settings and desk top short cutsto the guest account? thanks. SM

Use TweakUI, under the Logon heading you can disable accounts (or at least hide them from the Welcome page). You can also transfer settings (Logon/Settings). click here

To truly disable an account, go to start menu/run,type CMD, press return.


net user <Account name> active:no

to renable

net user <account name> active:yes

get a list of accounts with the command

net users
