Windows XP Shut-Down Problem

  Mike2003 12:58 03 Apr 03

When I try and shut down WindowsXP the computer goes through the correct procedure and even powers down. But this is then followed by the computer immediately booting up again !!

This problem has appeared either since installing some software or since adding a video capture card and I have spent the last 4 months (!!) talking to the technical help of the PC supplier but they have yet to find a fix.

Is there anybody out there that can help ??

All I can suggest Mike2003, is to unistall and remove the video capture card to see if the system boots its self up again. Then the same process for the software to see which if any it could be.

You could have a read of this click here

As a workaround you could try Start, Log Off, then choose the shutdown option when it is presented.
