I have the chance to buy a copy of Windows XP home edition upgrade from a colleague at work. He has been using it on his own computer and as I need to upgrade from Windows 98, he has offered it to me complete with codes etc. Will I have any problems loading/using it? I have heard about people having problems trying to use it on a second computer due to the licence/codes!

Depends on the license. Apparently one license type allows you to transfer it to another PC if removed from the other.

Someone here will tell which version and how to tell.
