WIndows XP re-install proplem, showing dual boot

Ive re-installed XP on my Inspiron 6400 laptop, I didnt remove the hard drive and completely format with NTFS but I did follow the on screen XP Install promps, deleting all patitions I could see and then formatted with NTFS.

The laptop is fine now with all drivers having gone back on, the only problem is when its boots up its showing two copies of windows home premium to slect from and a partion must have been left on, how do I delete the old one (If you click on it its says everything is missing) so when the laptop turns on it dosent give you this option and just boots straight into the new copy of XP.

Kind Regards to all

You will need to edit the boot.ini file to remove the reference to the second version of XP

for info on how.
