Good afternoon,
When I have turned off my pc with XP loaded, if I put the remote intellimouse back in the cradle to charge it up, xp starts up on its own! Any suggestions...thanks all

are you sure it's turned off? sounds like it could be in stand by mode ..

Thanks Ravin,
It did cross my mind you know, I will double check, the only way it could power on is if it is in standby mode, or 'asleep'.

you can turn it off in the mouse properties box.

If you are certain that the computer is actually shut down.

Then i'm gonna bet 10 whole pence that there is a setting in the BIOS that allows the computer to boot when the Mouse is moved.

(Sometimes people post that when the phone rings the computer boots)

I think the same is happening here except its the mouse obvioulsy causing the computer to boot.

The exact setting i'm not sure something like "wake up on mouse" or "wake up on PS/2"

You will have to go into the BIOS to see.

When the computer starts keep tapping the "DELETE" key...

Then have a look in the BIOS for a setting.

Sorry i cant be more specific.
