Windows XP password

A friend of mine has forgotten her password to get into her computer on XP. The password is the one that comes up on completion of booting up. There is no option to log into the machine as an administrator. Any one any clues as to how she can get in without me having to reformat? Cheers

To get into the Administrator account, assuming that this is XP Home, Start in Safe Mode and the Administrator account should appear on the Welcome screen.

Hold "Ctrl" and "Alt" and press "Del" twice.

This will show a "Logon Dialog".
Type in "Administrator" as the username and click "OK"

This will only work if she didn't assign a password to the built in administrator during setup/since installing

NOTE: You can also logon this account in safe mode
