Hello
Occasionally when I exit Outlook Express I get a message 'do I want to compress' I agree I do,and off it goes, saying it will may take a few minutes. It does not take long and I think I have done as requested. But where are the compressed folders stored. I can't find them. To my mind the folders do not seem large enough to compress, but , Windows XP know's best, I expect ? Or does it?

From OE click Tools then Options then Maintenance and Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the folder location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then from Start and Run press Ctrl+V this will paste the location in the box, hit enter and you will be taken to your folders.

You could also type the below into the search box.

*.dbx
