Windows XP-Media player. DVD Problem

  peter99co 17:06 10 May 08

My Windows Media player is not playing DVD even though it is displaying the chapters etc. It regards the dvd as unknown dvd.

If I use a different program (Arcade) everything is normal.

Any help available please

I can play cd's and rip/burn,no problem.

Is DVD Enabled from Tools>Options>File Types?

You might also need to download and install a codecs pack such as the K-Lite offerings:

DVD plays on Vista Machine but not on XP laptop

If it is any help, I had to restore the player to the laptop after losing the CD/DVD on My Computer by removing REALPLAYER. I have all back to normal now except DVD Play.
