My Windows Media player is not playing DVD even though it is displaying the chapters etc. It regards the dvd as unknown dvd.If I use a different program (Arcade) everything is normal.Any help available pleaseI can play cd's and rip/burn,no problem.
Is DVD Enabled from Tools>Options>File Types? You might also need to download and install a codecs pack such as the K-Lite offerings:See:click here
I'll report back,thanks
All file types ticked and no restrictions on ratings or language.DVD plays on Vista Machine but not on XP laptop
If it is any help, I had to restore the player to the laptop after losing the CD/DVD on My Computer by removing REALPLAYER. I have all back to normal now except DVD Play.
