Windows XP low memory problem

  Antony-219470 10:01 14 May 04

I have windows XP with 1280MB RAM and a 40GB hard drive with 36GB free space and a 900Hz processor. When I try to run certain games ( one of which only recomends 16mb)I get a low on memory message and cannot run the games. What can I do to improve this.

First you should go into Windows Explorer and clear out all Temp files from the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Next go to start Run type MSCONFIG press OK go to start tab and remove program ticks that do not need to start when you start your computer many of these will work just by going to the programs folder as normal. you will have to reboot. If you find something is needed that you removed just go back in and put the tick back
