Windows XP logon

A friend used to have her laptop configured to log on to a domain. Since she no longer logs on to that network, she changed the settings in the Computer Name tab of System Properties so that the computer is now a member of a workgroup called "Workgroup", rather than being in the domain.

However, now when Windows starts up she can't log in. She's tried using her own username and password and administrator (both with the password she used to use for the administrator, and just leaving it blank) but Windows still won't let her in.

Does anyone know what's causing this and what can be done to fix it?

Thanks,

Gary
