Hi All,
Anybody offer a suggestion of what I think is Possibly a Dodgy Motherboard,Well when loading Xp that seems to load all the files on fine but when it gets to the end and reboots you should by rights see the XP Logo this machine dosent it goes back to the start of loading windows files again on the blue screen.....?

Have changed hardrives, cables, memory etc but it still happens!

Thanking you on a prompt response in advance

Hi bch8132311,

Not 100% sure but are you taking the disc out before reboot , on firing up would it not reboot from the disc again ?

Just a thought.

Regards Bob

Thanks Bob for the reply, no have tried both ways of removing and leaving disk in but I end up back in the loop again where it loads the files fine then when it reboots to logo screen to continue loading xp with visual screen it dosent do that it reverts back to loading windows files again.?????????

It would only go back into loading files if you "press any key to boot from CD" if you do not touch any key it should (as you said) go to the windows logo.

I had a similar problem when i swapped hard drives. I fixed the problem by changing the jumper settings on the hard drive. This seem to fix my problem.
