Windows (XP) Explorer disaster!

Having transferred some photos into a folder on my desktop, I was quickly browsing using Windows Explorer. When I deleted one photo it notified me it had to close. Now the folder is empty and noting in the recycling bin? Where are my photos!

put name of photo --
they could have accidently been dragged & dropped into a nearby folder which with these fast computers can happen in a split second without realizing.

They should be on your HD drive somewhere!

I think the usual response I have seen posted here in situations like this is to use your 'puter as little as possible (so that they are not overwritten) and try to recover them using a file recovery program such as click here or click here

Good Luck!

Lost files duly located, thanks to the freeware suggested. I'm a relieved man. Thanks for your suggestions.

I am glad you got it sorted!

Out of interest which one did you use?
