On finding advice on the internet I have copied the folder I386 from the 'windows' folder on my C drive to a cd.
Does this now act as a complete windows xp home installation disc with the product key on the sticker on the back of my pc ?
Or are there other files and folders required ?
If my pc ever goes 'pop' and I had to purchase a new hard drive would I be able to reinstall windows from this disc and use the 25 digit key currently supplied with my machine ?
I was supplied with a restore disc when I purchased the pc originally, but would this work if I had to replace the hard drive ?
Thanks for any advice and help : ))
