Will office 2000 premium operate on windows XP or will I have to download anything to make it work and if so where do I find the downloads. Have searched Microsoft site but to no avail.

Office 2000 pro on XP home for over a year with no problems at all.

Yes no problem. After installation you could check for Office 2000 Premium updates here - click here.

although as Crossbow7 suggests - it will make good sense to check for updates as soon as you have installed it.

I did have a problem with Office 2000 Pro. My PC couldn't even see the data on the CD. I got an XP version and all was ok.
If you do have any problems, you could right click on the program icon and select compatibility mode and choose to run it for 98se mode for example.
