Does Windows XP have a 'built-in' LAN capability or do I need a separate wireless LAN card for an internet connection. I can feed off my neighbour's broadband connection (with permission!)on one of my PCs running Windows ME but am unable to connect using a PC running Windows XP . Any help appreciated

Windows XP has the software and protocols for running wired and/or wireless networking, but the PC needs to have the necessary network adapter installed - "hardware" which needs to be plugged into the PC either internally in a PCI slot or externally as USB.
