First. Do you have more than one operating system?

If so, DO NOT carry out the following. You need to check your default operating system first.

So, open Windows Explorer and click on Tools; Folder Options; View; and SELECT "Show hidden files and folders". DESELECT, "Hide protected system operating files".

Now open C: drive, and in the root you will find a "Boot" file. Open this with Notepad or Wordpad and you will see a line like this;

Change this to;

Save the file and exit.

DO NOT change any other data.

WARNING. If you change any other parameter in this file, your system could fail to boot up. Therefore, you may like to make a copy of this file prior to making the change (just in case...!)
