Excuse ignorance but cannot find this information.
I have put XP onto a machine which will probably have to be replaced in future. I know that it has to be activated on the present machine but will I be able to use it on a new machine when I get it? and how?

Thanks

yes you can do this no problem.

its only allowed to be installed on one computer at a time so make sure its uninstalled from the old computer before installing it on the new one.

i doubt you will have any problems activating it on the new computer but if you do then it just takes a quick phone call to MS to sort it.
