Should I install it? If I do could it make a mess of a system that is running well at present? I have heard a number of for's and against's and feel unsure and don't want to screw things up .
I am running Norton 360, could that be a problem

It has been created to fix weaknesses discovered by that merry band of Hackers and Virus writers out there.

You'll need to bite the bullet sooner or later.

and as far as I can tell it made no difference at all in normal everyday usage. No benefits, no drawbacks and it did not crash my system. As 'wee eddie' says you are going to have to do it in the end, just make sure as with any major update that you have good recent back-ups.

sorry typo, "In installed SP1" = "I installed SP1" :(

If Windows update does not offer it, then don't worry, leave it alone. If it is offered, go for it.

Thanks to everyone that replied. I had a feeling you might say that. I will give it a go
