Today I installed the updat (KB826942) on my laptop running XP Pro on a broadband wireless network. The update says....
"Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) support is now available for Microsoft Windows XP. This update provides additional wireless security capabilities for the latest generation of wireless networking equipment supporting WPA. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer."
After loading, the network connection immediately dropped and I could not get it back. Fortunately, the system had created a restore point and I had no option but to restore back to the pre-install point. The connection came back after restoring. Has anyone had a similar experience?
