Windows Update Problem

I have tried to install the the new critical update Q817287 (Catalog Database Corruption in Microsoft Windows), but each time I try I get "update failed to install", all the other updates I have downloaded in the past have worked fine. As this is a critical update I am concerned that this did not install.

I tried searching the Microsoft KB, but this doesn't have any info on the patch!

I am using a system with XP Home and SP1.

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance Iain.

It can happen occasionally, on the few occasions it has happened to me I have started again and it has installed OK, it is more common on the day an update comes out due to the sheer volume of people trying to download it.

Thanks you two.

I let Automatic Download handle it, and the patch installed okay this time.

I've never had that happen before.
