Windows update popup balloon

I recently read an article regarding editing the registry to stop the annoying update popup and it worked fine after setting it. Since I did a system restore due to a hicup with the laptop and mobile phone infrared email connection I am back to square one and can not find the article. Can anyone give me the instructions again please?

Thanks, Russell

Sorry for the double post. The first one resulted in an error...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Create a new DWORD value, name it EnableBalloonTips, and set it equal to 0.
If EnableBalloonTips is already there and equal to 1, set it equal to 0.

Restart

Or click here
