Windows Update Error

  powertron 12:37 27 Sep 06

I tried to perform a Windows Update, the Update required a system Reboot.
When I Rebooted I was met with a Blue screen carrying the following message:

Stop:c0000218{Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive(File):
or its log or alternate.
it is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

I had to reboot my Tower to get Windows to load.
I'm no expert, but I know this don't sound good.
Does anyone have any ideas for a resove?

Warning Do not use the procedure that is described in this article if your computer has an OEM-installed operating system. The system hive on OEM installations creates passwords and user accounts that did not exist previously.
