Windows Time wrong

I had a query about the clock on my machine some time ago.

The general opinion was that the mobo battery needed changing.

I never changed it partly because the board was only a few months old but also because the problem seemed to rectify itself.

However this morning it had gained five minutes overnight so I reset it using Windowstime.com.
That was at six this morning and it has been on all day (presumably therefore not requiring the battery usage)and in that time it has gained a further two minutes.

Does Windows xp run the clock when it is running or what?

Thanks VoG™ that looks interesting - I'll certainly give it a try.

But can we rely on the internet time for being accurate?

If you double-click on your clock, click Internet Time tab, you can sort out a time check to suit yourself
