I am runnung windows XP Home when I press ctrl+alt+ delete nothing happens can anyone help

Hold down the ctrl and alt keys and then press the Delete key the Task Manager Display should pop up

Try going into Safe Mode and see if it will open then - if it does you probably have some malware.

Two other ways to try opening Task Manager - either press Ctrl+Shift+Esc or go to Start/Run/type in taskmgr and click OK

right click on the Taskbar and tick Task Manager.

Yes sorry I did notice after posting.Maybe try running C Cleaner or System Restore to a time when it was working.
