Windows Subsystem Process Terminated Suddenly

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 which has been running well for the last year. Without any warning I got a blue screen with the message "The Windows Subsystem Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of Oxc0000005 (0x7c910e23 0x006cFa50). The system has been shut down".
When I booted it up again, it was running erratically, but it now appears to be working well as before.
Can anyone shed some light on this and is there anything I can do to run a check and/or prevent this from happening again.
Many thanks in advance.

Check your system for any spyware/viruses. If you have your spyware/anti-virus program set to run at start up reconfigure to start at a later time.

If all that doesn't help, up-date your drivers.

Windows XP doesn't like old drivers for some reason, especially peripheral devices, that is if you are running XP?
