Windows SP2 Problem

Dear all

This is the second time i've tried to install SP2 and once again i've encountered the same problem. I cannot shut windows down properly, I get down to the "windows is now shutting down" prompt, but it just stays that way and I have to give it a "dirty" shutdown. When I installed SP2 originally, I had this problem and once I removed it, the problem disappeared. I decided to try again (Same problem). Can anyone recommend a fix, before I remove it again for good.

Many thanks.

David.

Windows failing to complete a shutdown is usually due to some process that is still active.
I guess that SP2 is either introducing some process or keeping an existing one busy.

You could try toeliminate by closing differnt processes before shutdown but somebody esle may know better what this will be.
