Windows registry Performance Counter Library

  Thatslife 18:33 08 Mar 06

I've been using Skybybroadband for a while when it stopped working.

Sky have said it is because Windows registry Performance Counter Library values have become corrupt or Another application has manually disabled the Performance Counter Library.

How do I check if it is corrupt or whether it has been disabled?

Out of interest itunes have stopped working too. Connected???

That seems a little beyond my understanding Madboy.

I was hoping I could click a button and it would be sorted.....

If the performance counters are disabled, rather than missing or corrupted, you could use exctrlst from click here to re-enable them. This program is mentioned half way down madboy's link.

Within the program, click on each item and make sure the "Performance Counters Enabled" box is ticked for each one. (Although exctrlst is for Windows2000 I've used it on XP when some performance counters were disabled.)
