Have been using Windows One Care which has now expired. On trying to purchase an activation code The site will not let me activate in English. As I live in Spain and have scant knowledge of the language. After several days trying to activate Im'e giving up.

My question is will it have any detremental effect on my laptop & desk top if i delete it in Control Panel?

I wiil then go back to using AVG.any advice will be greatly appreciated

No you should be Ok,I used to have it and like you could not activate it,So deleted it,And use the freebie's now.But I would wait and get someone else to confirm it,As it was about 2 years since I deleted it.

Expat 1,

as buteman suggests, why not go with the freebies, i.e. Avg, spywareblaster, zone alarm, adaware, spybot etcetera.

Not a lot of response to your problem.I presume there are not a lot of folk use One Care.It was not you that had problems with your computer a few months back,And it was your house phone needing new batteries that was causing the problem was it.
