Windows not recognising a new partition

  PvG 19:38 23 Feb 05

I have just created a new partition using Partition Expert and Windows doesn't recognise it. If I open the Partition software again, the drive is there and the correct space allocated to it.
This is XP with SP2.
Is there somethig simple that I have missed or have to do?

Yes check Control Panel\Administrator\Administrative tools\Computer Management\Disk Management near the bottom of list. If you see the disc give it a letter

The drive is "J" in Computer management and "Healthy" but still doesn't show in the Explorer.

If you have a full XP disc try running from the Run box with your XP disc in comp.
