Windows not picking up installed programs on other HD

I recently installed windows on a new SSD and I've found that it isn't picking up programs I already have installed on my old HD, for example they're not listed in add/remove programs nor can I see them in the list for what program I want to open a file with, instead I have to browse through my folders to find the .exe.

Newly installed programs on my HD will show up fine as windows is obviously aware of their existence, so is there any way to make all the other programs show up aswell?

Thanks

Any programs will need to be reinstalled (to the same location is OK) as they will not be integrated into the registry of your new windows installation.
