I downloaded this prog from Microsoft. The problem is that when I click on a Transition or Effect the programme switches off.

do you have Service Pack 1 for XP installed? If not would suggest you get it.

I finally got Service Pack 1, installed it and guess what no change. As soon as I try to add a transition or a video effect the programme just switches off.

Only thing I can suggest is that you re-download MM2, in case the first version is corrupt. Uninstall the original if possible and reinstall again. If the original will not uninstall, try running the new download over the top. Hope you sort it, cant think of any other options.

Thanks for your help, anyway I have solved the problem now. I went to Microsofts site and one of the articles mentioned out of date Video Codecs, so I uninstalled all the Codecs I had installed and BINGO it works fine. Thanks again
