Windows Messenger update help needed.

I have windows messenger so i can chat on line to a good mate of mine. the version of messenger that came on my Xp home disk is 4.7

I tried to update to the current(?) version 6.2. I could not, and was told by Xp to sign on as system Admin to perform the update. I did so. and the update ran, but only for the Sys-admin account. For 'normal' users it is still version 4.7. this causes probs, as he uses 6.2...

How do i get the update to run globally?

when ure in the admin account, find the program and right click on it, then click on properties and then on sharing. make sure that all users have access to it

You are confusing two different programs - Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger.
