Every time I start Vista I get a pop up for windows Messenger. I don't use it so how can I stop it appearing?

Tools\Options. Go through the headings on the left hand side until you find one that has the box to run when Windows starts and untick it.
Probably under sign in.

Look in Tools - Options, for a ticked box saying "Start when Windows starts" or similar. Untick it.

To ventanas. Thanks for that just one thing where/how do I find Tool/Options, this sounds silly but I can't find it.

Start messenger, tools can be found under the title bar at the top.Click.tools,options then in the next window that opens you can disable messenger on start up under preferences.

The menu is hidden by default, but on the right of the small toolbar there should be an icon with a drop down. Tools etc is in there.
