Windows Media slowing down PC

  Chris07 18:08 08 Feb 07

I just installed a new Graphics Card the other day (PNY GeForce 6200) updated from a GeForce 5200, and before I get any comments, my PC is that old that the only slot I have for a video card is a PCI slot (any cards better than the 6200 that fits in PCI? I'm open to suggestions). The card works fine and better in my games.

However whenever i try to load a video, my computer slows down dramatically untill I end the wmplayer.exe program from the task manager. As far as I know it only happens with videos and not sound, ive no idea what to do as ive got quite alot of movies on my PC that I now cannot watch.

Any help apprieciated.
