Windows Media players problems

I am running version 7.01 of the media players on windows 98 (not SE).
After playing a few mpeg clips the sound disappears & a reboot is necessary. But the player will still play audio cd`s or mp3 files without rebooting.
Any ideas ?
Closing the media player & reopening does not get rid of the problem- a full reboot appears necessary.

My advice is to uninstall Media Plater and D/L Winamp version 5 far better.

I use Windows MP v9.0 on my Win98se. I'd suggest you upgrade to v9.0. To d'load click here. G

Why not uninstall it and download it again (7.1) from:

Take about 25 minutes on a dialup connection or, if you still have older magazine cover disks, you might find it on one of those.

cragulas clearly indicates he is using Windows98.

Sorry, just realised that you need a minimum of Win98SE to run WMP 9.0 (click here).

Apart from Winamp some more Media players to consider - Quintessential Player click here, RealOne Player click here,
Musicmatch Jukebox click here, Zoom Player click here & dBpowerAMP Audio Player click here. G
