Windows Media Player Problems

  Nelmon2k 16:15 29 May 05

Recently Windows Media Player seems to be mucking up. Whenever I run it it seems to be very slow and if I look into task managed it uses about 90 % of my cpu and uses about 180 000 memory. I'm baffled as to why this is. Does anyone know what might be causing this??? Thanks

Are you running a firewall.? If so deny all access to media player in the program control.

Have you got the latest VERSION 10 - if not recommend downloading it.

I have. I've disabled all automatic folder monitoring and its stopped taking up all the system resources. Thankyou anyway.
