For some reason my files (mpeg's etc) that play in WMP have lost the distinctive icon. I have checked that WMP is the default player for these files, and all though they play in WMP when I double click and open them, they have just a MS generic file type icon. Any ideas please

If you have TweakUI, there is an option to rebuild icons.

Thanks, I have tried that, also reset file associations. I have just noticed that I have the same problem with midi's wav's and just about anything else that is associated with WMP v9. Any other ideas please.

Reinstall of WMP?

Reboot PC?
