My Windows Media Player 10 became corrupted and I cannot even open it. I have been trying to reinstall it but with no success. When it tries to install a message comes up saying this version of Windows Media Technologies is incomptable with this version of windows. I have tried to download older versions also but get the same results. I have tried restore to an earlier time with no success. I don't know what to try next. Any suggestions anyone?

You could try to roll back to MP9in add/remove.

Thanks, but I already tried that to no avail. There is obviously something seriously amiss with WMP and I now given up on it altogether. I downloaded Musicmatch this evening to use instead and so far it has been working very well.
