Windows Media Player Failure

Hi there

I had to replace my PC battery on the motherboard and apart from resetting the clock and disabling the AC97 Audio Device in the BIOS set-up no problems were encountered. When I tried to play some music on Windows Media Player 11, which has been working well since installation some while ago, a message came up which said "Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound card...." I re-installed Media Player 11 but the problem still exists. All of my audio files seem to be working OK in Real Player. Any suggestions
