I installed windows media player on my system yesterday, but it refuses to play sound on any files, avis, mp3. wma etc.

Is anyone else having a similar problem??

Is there anything i can do to sort it out?

Thanks

is this service pack 3 installed...

Check your sound chip/card drivers are installed correctly or these file extensions are registered with Media Player...

To check registration, open MPlayer9, goto Tools, Options then select File Types and check what extensions you have/want registered
