Windows Media Player 9

O/S Win 98SE
Have downloaded WMP 9. When I try to burn CD I get the message Roxio Burning engine not found on your system. Would you like to install? I have followed the link and downloaded and installed by clicking the .exe (and rebooting) but still get the message that the burning engine cannot be found. I have copied the 3 files (engine, language files and licence) to different location but this did not help.
Any ideas, please!

I think that the Roxio Burning engine is for XP users only.
Media Player 9, was originally intended for XP, and a lot of it's features are not included with other operating systems.

Media player 9 is available for Win 98 and the roxio does work even though it is just a basic version and any copying is done to the HD first and then you copy to the CDR.

1. DO you have the correct version.

2. Or do you have another CDRW program that might be conflicting.
