I can only watch a couple of seconds of downloads before the screen goes blank. I've tried adjusting my security settings and even disabling my firewall!! Please help

just noticed you said downloads.are you downloading before playback or streaming the video?

This happens on streaming and playback. I've tried your suggestion but still no joy!

Depends on how busy the net is at the time - I tried the special Dido web pages yesterday and it was stop, start, stop, start from beginning to end on dialup.

Gave up in the end...:-)

Yet with RealOne and BBC's radio web pages I can listen uninteruppted for 98-99 per cent of the time whilst surfing elsewhere.

Solved by tools/options/performance/video aceleration - advanced/uncheck use overlay!!
