Windows Media Palyer

My PC runs on Windows XP Home. In Media Player, once I have played files I usually delete them. However, when I click on FILE, the last 9 or ten items that have been viewed are still visible at the bottom of the drop down window. Can these be deleted to clear the list or do they drop off as more media is played?

Go to Tools > Options, select the privacy tab, the section at the bottom refers to HISTORY, you can either clear it, or tick the box so as the history is not stored.

You can also use "CCleaner" (click here) which can clear your history on most common programs like Nero, Office, Media Player, etc....
